Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church will observe Women’s Day Sunday, May 18, 2008, during the 10:45 a.m. worship service.  The theme for this year’s celebration is Believing "Christian Women:  Believing, Building.and Bridging." The guest speaker will be Dr. Rebera Elliott Foston, M.D. MPH.MATS, DMin, founder and executive director of the Foston Institute for Holistic Mentoring.  A doctor of both medicine and ministry and a master of public health and theological studies, Dr. Foston uses her gifts to train others how to minister more effectively to young people through holistic mentoring.  Dr. Foston, who practiced medicine for 35 years and served as the first female Health Commissioner for the City of Gary, Indiana, is also an accomplished author.  She has written 23 books, including 20 volumes of poetry.   There will be a reception immediately following the worship service.  Rev. Ronnie Miller-Yow is pastor of Wesley Chapel, located at 1109 S. State Street in Little Rock.  Dr. Sharon A. Richardson is Women’s Day chairperson.
