Just wanted to comment that I was in attendance at last nights Friday night football game between Jacksonville and No. Pulaski High and was very impressed by the extreme sportsmanship displayed by both teams. Kudos to all the players and staff.
If a young man was injured (non serious, thankfully), every player "took a knee" immediatly and stayed there until said player was back on his feet. And if an injury occured on the far side of the field away from their respective bench, the opposing coach or athletic trainer was out on the field caring for the down player until home help arrived.
I have been to many games where this level of respect was non-existant and it is a shame. I hope that this becomes an epidemic as we are all in this "game" together.
