    Hidden Treasures on South Main

Applications for vendor (including food and drink vendors) and artist spaces for “Hidden Treasures on South Main” an antique, art, and craft fair that will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2007, are now being accepted. Sponsored by Southside Main Street, this will be a unique event in Little Rock and will take place in the historic original city near the Governors Mansion. “Hidden Treasures on South Main” will bring a large group of people together to shop and encounter a town market style experience.

The event will be marketed through a wide variety of print and broadcast media as well as on the Southside Main Street website and newsletter. Notices will be spread through out the city, including hotels and the historic visitor center, Curran Hall.

Southside Main Street is dedicated to revitalizing the historic South Main area in downtown Little Rock. We recruit business, sponsor educational events, and promotional activities like Hidden Treasures on South Main. In our first year, we inaugurated a public art project, Places, Spaces, and Chairs with a preview party and have just installed the second edition. February 2007was time for our first Mardi Gras parade. The 2008 parade tripled in size and we are planning for 2009.

Vendor application forms are available by calling 501-537-9032, ext. 11 in Little Rock and on the website at www.southsidemain.org with a deadline of September 12. An early bird registration by August 22 will enter the vendor in a drawing for a free booth. For more information, email judi@southsidemain.org or call Judi Casavechia at 501-537-9032, ext. 11
