Well, while shooting a violent criminal may at first sound like a good idea, it is simplly not that easy. I mean lets go back to your own comment about human error. I do think that if prison was less inviting and sentences were longer then maybe we would not have as many repeat offenders. I mean if I had only known I could have gotten my college education at the expense of tax payers I would have robbed somewhere. I mean the things that we allow prisoners to do is insane. We pay for them to eat better than most families and they are given free access to TV and education. That makes me mad. I paid way too much for my college education and then my hard earned money goes to give a free education to a felon. What, why, who, decided that was fair?
As far as DNA, I see no problem with taking DNA from individuals that are arrested. I have nothing to hide, and I will never have anything I need to hide. So why should I be afraid of someone having a sample of my DNA. I mean what are you afraid of? Is something out there just waiting to catch up to you? If you have done nothing wrong then you should not be afraid of giving a DNA sample to police. However, this does not even apply to you unless you are arressted. So unless you plan on being arrested any time soon you don't even have to worry about giving a DNA sample. They just want samples from the criminals. They are going to use the samples to be able to take a lot of really bad people off the streets. What good law abidding citizen would not be for that? I question anyone who is against this: Why would you want to allow violent criminals to run the streets? Unless you are a violent criminal or just happen to like to be victimized then you would not want violent criminals on the streets. Thus you should be for the taking of DNA to insure the safety of society.
